Vice President M Venkaiah Naidu arrives in Senegal; to hold delegation-level talks with President Macky Sall
Vice President M Venkaiah Naidu has arrived in Senegal on the second leg of his three-nation tour. During the visit, he would hold delegation-level talks with President Macky Sal and meet the President of the National Assembly Moustapha Niasse and other dignitaries.
Mr. Naidu is accompanied by a high-level delegation including Minister of State for Health and Family Welfare Dr. Bharati Pawar and three Members of Parliament.
In a tweet, Ministry of External Affairs spokesperson Arindam Bagchi said that the visit coincides with 60 years of establishment of India-Senegal diplomatic relations.
The Vice President arrived Senegal from Gabon where he held wide-ranging talks with the Central African country’s top leadership and business leaders.
The Ministry of External Affairs stated that the visit signifies India’s commitment to engage closely with Africa.
