Uttar Pradesh CM Yogi Adityanath lays foundation stone of Ram Mandir’s Sanctum Sanctorum in Ayodhya

The construction work of ‘Garbh Grah’ or the sanctum sanctorum of the under-construction Ram temple in Ayodhya begin with Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath laying the foundation stone of the ‘Garbha Griha’ by placing the first carved stone in it.

Seers and saints from across the country were present on the occasion and the Shila poojan was live telecasted also.

The first carved stone of the sanctum Santorum was placed by Yogi Adityanath at sharp 11:15 am in Abhijeet muhurt. With the Shila poojan of this construction, the shape of the grand Ram temple will start taking place.

Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust, in charge of the temple construction, has informed that white marbles from the Makrana hills of Rajasthan would be used in the sanctum sanctorum.

Carving of the stones, which will be used in the construction of the Sanctum Santorum is going on at two workshops.

It’s a big day for the people of Ayodhya and there are plans for grand celebration. All temples are decorated in the city of lord Rama and earthen lamps will be lit in the evening.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi had attended the ‘Bhoomi Pujan’ or the foundation stone laying ceremony for the temple on 5 August 2020 after which construction had started.
