Science and Technology Minister Dr. Jitendra Singh today proposed the introduction of the Antarctic Bill, 2022 in the Lok Sabha. After a voice vote and the ‘ayes’ getting a majority, the Bill was introduced in the house.
The Bill aims at having India’s own national measures for protecting the Antarctic environment and its dependent and associated ecosystem.
