Union Minister Amit Shah to formally inaugurate Telangana Liberation Day celebrations on Sep 17

Union Home Minister Amit Shah will formally inaugurate a year-long Telangana Liberation Day celebrations on 17th  of this month.

Union Tourism Minister G Kishan Reddy informed this at the media conference held in Hyderabad today. He informed that Chef Ministers of Telangana, Maharashtra and Karnataka have been invited to take part in the inaugural ceremony to be held at Parade Grounds in Secunderabad.

The minister recalled the hardships that the people of the then Hyderabad state, now in Maharastra, Karnataka and Telangana, who underwent for over 13 months after the country got independence.  

Stating that  Razvi, whose ideology was basis for present-day MIM, the minister said Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel took bold decision and ordered for Operation Polo. He alleged that unfortunately, the liberation day celebrations were not held till now in Telangana.

He also recalled that Marathwada Mukti Sangram, Hyderabad and Karnataka vimochan diwas have been held every year by Maharatsra and Karnataka . Stating that the Hyderabad liberation has completed 74 years and entering diamond jubilee, he said true tributes will be paid on 17th of this month to the people who made sacrifices.

He also urged people to participate in the celebrations. The minister further said Har Gahr Tiranaga has brought Indians together and demonstrated oneness to the rest of the world.

The minister further urged the people to renovate and fly the tricolor ‘Buruzulu’ which is located across the state.
