Two-day G20 Foreign Ministers meeting to begin at Bali; EAM Jaishankar to represent India at Summit
A two-day meeting of Foreign Ministers of G20 countries will begin today at Bali in Indonesia. With the theme of “Building a more peaceful, stable, and prosperous world together,” this meeting will serve as a strategic forum to discuss global recovery efforts. The meeting will have two sessions. The first session on Strengthening Multilateralism will discuss joint steps to strengthen global collaboration and build mutual trust among countries, which will become an enabling environment for world stability, peace, and development. The second session on Food and Energy Security will discuss strategic steps to overcome the food crisis, fertilizers shortage, and rising global commodity prices.
External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar will represent India at the G20 Foreign Ministers’ meeting. During his visit to Indonesia, Dr. Jaishankar will also hold several bilateral meetings with his counterparts from other G20 member states and invited countries.
