The Citizen’s Tele-Law mobile app that helps provide legal information and offers dispute redressal is downloaded by 35,257 persons and they were provided 1,79,339 legal advice till now. This is the written reply given by the Minister for Law and Justice Kiren Rijiju in Lok Sabha today.
The Tele-Law service is operational in 669 districts across 36 states and Union Territories covering 75000 Gram Panchayats. The Government had launched the Tele-Law on Wheels campaign in November last year to create awareness about the legal services mobile app reaching out to 52,000 participants. Along with this, 4250 awareness and community mobilization sessions were also conducted across the country.
