Supreme Court suspends physical hearing of cases for two weeks from 3rd Jan over surge in COVID-19 cases
Supreme Court has decided to shift to the virtual system of hearings for two weeks from today, in view of the rising COVID-19 cases and concern over the Omicron variant. In a statement issued yesterday evening, the Supreme Court administration said, all hearings from today will be through virtual mode only for a period of two weeks. The top court had resumed the physical hearing of cases from October last year. The apex court had been hearing cases through video conferences since March 2020 in wake of the pandemic. The Supreme Court is reopening today after its winter vacation.
