Shiv Sena will not be part of any alliance in UP, ready to participate if there is any movement for Mathura: Sanjay Raut

Shiv Sena will not be part of any alliance in Uttar Pradesh, confirmed Sanjay Raut. He further said that there is no question of any alliance with the Samajwadi Party due to ideological differences.

We want a change in the state, said Raut and claimed that the party has been working for a long time in UP but didn’t contest elections because it did not want to hurt the BJP.

The Rajya Sabha MP also said that Shiv Sena is ready to participate if there is any movement for Mathura.

On Wednesday, Raut announced that Shiv Sena will contest 50-100 seats in the Uttar Pradesh Assembly elections.

After Shiv Sena, Nationalist Congress Party has also announced its entry in Uttar Pradesh with Sharad Pawar saying that his party would ally with Samajwadi Party and other smaller parties.

“The people of Uttar Pradesh are looking for a change. We will surely see the change in the state,” he said.

Reacting to this, Raut said that NCP should join hands with the Congress and the Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) also in the big fight to save Uttar Pradesh.

Reacting to the exit of Swami Prasad Maurya and three other MLAs, Raut said that this indicates that Uttar Pradesh is moving towards a political change.

“The party that has been predicted to win in the opinion polls, the minister, and MLAs of that party is leaving that party, what does this indicate? No matter what the polls show, the ground reality is different,” he said.

Swami Prasad Maurya understands wind of politics very aptly and never stays with the party that is going to lose and if such people are leaving the party, then I think UP is moving towards political change, he added.

Elections for the 403-member Uttar Pradesh assembly will be held in seven phases. The polling will be held on February 10, 14, 20, 23, 27, and March 3 and 7 in seven phases.
