The Prime Minister said, every citizen will now receive Digital Health IDs and their health record will be digitally protected. On the occasion of the Birth Anniversary of Pandit Deendayal Upadhyay three years ago, the Ayushman Bharat scheme was started across the country. The Prime Minister expressed happiness that Ayushman Bharat Digital Mission is also being started across the country from today. He said, India has the biggest connected infrastructure in the world with 130 crore AADHAAR numbers, 118 crore mobile subscribers, close to 80 crore internet users, 43 crore Jan Dhan bank accounts. He said, this digital infrastructure has made sure that ration, as well as administration, reaches the common man.

Prime Minister Modi said, Arogya Setu app proved instrumental in checking the spread of COVID infection. He said, CoWIN played a prominent role in the administration of over 90 crore vaccine doses to people. There has also been an unprecedented expansion of telemedicine during this period. He said, 1.25 crore consultations were done through e-Sanjeevani. He added that e-Sanjeevani facility is connecting thousands of people living in far-flung areas with doctors of big hospitals in cities. He thanked doctors, nurses and other medical staff for rising to the occasion during this COVID period.
