Popular comedian Raju Srivastava passes away; President, PM & several Union Ministers express grief at his demise
President Droupadi Murmu has said that the untimely demise of eminent comedian Raju Srivastava is extremely sad. In a tweet, Ms. Murmu said, Raju Srivastava had an uncanny talent to enthrall the audience with his comical performances. She said, due to the influence of Raju Srivastava, the staging of comedy in India got a new identity. Ms. Murmu expressed condolences to the family and fans.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi has expressed sadness on the demise of popular comedian Raju Srivastava. In a tweet, Mr. Modi said, Raju Srivastava brightened people’s lives with laughter, humour, and positivity. He said, Raju Srivastava has left too soon but he will continue to live in the hearts of countless people due to his rich work over the years. The Prime Minister expressed condolences to his family and admirers.
Home Minister Amit Shah has expressed grief over the demise of renowned comedian Raju Srivastava. Mr. Shah said, his death is a great loss to the art world. He said, Mr. Srivastava had a unique style and he impressed everyone with his amazing talent.
Defence Minister Rajnath Singh has also expressed grief. In a tweet, Mr. Singh said, apart from being a seasoned artist, he was also a very wonderful human being. He said Mr. Srivastava was also very active in the social field.
In a tweet, Information and Broadcasting Minister Anurag Singh Thakur expressed grief and said, he was a great artist, a lively person, and an inspiration to many artists with his artistic talent. He said, Raju Shrivastava’s passing away is the end of the era of a genre of comedy and it is not possible to fill the void created by his death. Mr. Thakur conveyed heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family and the fans of Raju Shrivastava.
