PM to inaugurate and lay foundation stone of projects worth over Rs 3,650 crore at Bilaspur in Himachal Pradesh

IndiaPrime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate and lay the foundation stone of projects over three thousand 650 crores at Bilaspur in Himachal Pradesh today. Prime Minister will also dedicate AIIMS Bilaspur, to the state, which has been built at a cost of over one thousand 470 crores. Other than AIIMS, Mr Modi will also inaugurate Hydro Engineering College at Bandla, Bilaspur. Prime Minister will also lay the foundation stones of Medical Devices Park at Nalagarh and the Four-lane project from Pinjore to Nalagarh. Mr Modi will also participate in Kullu Dussehra starting today.

Prime Minister Narender Modi will inaugurate and lay foundation stones of several development projects and will also address a public gathering at Luhunu ground in Bilaspur. Elaborate security arrangements have been made in view of the Prime Minister’s visit.

The much-awaited AIIMS Bilaspur, whose foundation stone was laid by Prime Minister Narendra Modi in October 2017, will also be dedicated to the state today. Spread over 247 acres, this AIIMS hospital will have state-of-the-art facilities.The hospital is equipped with 24 hours emergency, latest diagnostic equipment, 18 modular operation theaters, 750 beds, and also  has a 30 bedded AYUSH block. The hospital will admit 100 students for MBBS  and 60 students for nursing courses every year. To provide health services in the far flung regions of the state,  AIIMS Bilaspur has  set up the Centre for Digital Health. The inauguration of Government Hydro Engineering College in Bandla, where 507 students will take engineering education, will also prove to be a milestone. While on the other hand, to boost industrial development and tourism in the region, the Prime Minister will lay the foundation stone of a 31 km long project for four laning of the National Highway from Pinjore to Nalagarh. Prime Minister will also lay the foundation stone of the Medical Device Park at Nalagarh, to be built at a cost of about Rs 350 crore. The project will attract 5000 cr investment in Himachal.

In the afternoon, Prime Minister will also attend the  Kullu Dussehra Festival at Dhalpur Ground in Kullu. In the historic Kullu Dussehra celebrations, Mr Modi will witness the Divya Rath Yatra and a grand assembly of more than 300 deities of the valley. The festival of Dussehra has cultural and historical significance in the Kullu Valley. Goddess Hidimba has a special significance in this festival. Dussehra begins only after the arrival of Goddess Hidimba. During the seven-day long festival, the goddess will be staying in a makeshift camp in Kullu.
