Prime Minister Narendra Modi today interacted with India’s contingent at the Deaflympics this morning. In a tweet, Mr Modi said, he will never forget the interaction with our champions who have brought pride and glory for India at the Deaflympics.
He said, the entire contingent has created history and brought smiles on the faces of every Indian. Prime Minister said, the athletes shared their experiences and he could see the passion and determination in them.
Youth Affairs and Sports Minister Anurag Thakur and Minister of state for Youth Affairs and Sports Nisith Pramanik were also present on the occasion.
India has recorded their best performance by winning 17 medals at the Deaflympics, including eight gold, one silver and eight bronze.
The Deaflympics 2021 was held in Brazil and Team India had sent the biggest ever contingent this year.
