It is being reported that central government will release the 10th instalment of Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana on January 1, 2022. However, there has been no official statement on the set date for the release of grants under the central government scheme, as of now. Last year, the instalment under the scheme was released on December 25. A total of Rs 18,000 crore were released under the scheme which benefited 9 crore farmers.
The money is credited to the bank accounts of beneficiary farmers.
Under the scheme, income support of Rs 6,000 per year in three equal instalments of Rs 2,000 is provided to all landholding farmer families every fourth months.
Check eligibility under PM KISAN
However, certain categories of beneficiaries in the higher economic status are not eligible under the scheme. These include: all institutional landholders, former and present holders of constitutional posts, former and present ministers, state ministers and former or present members of LokSabha, RajyaSabha, State Legislative Assemblies, State Legislative Councils, former and present Mayors of Municipal Corporations, former and present Chairpersons of District Panchayats.
Other categories not covered in the scheme include: All serving or retired officers and employees of Central, State Government Ministries, Offices, Departments and its field units Central or State PSEs and Attached offices /Autonomous Institutions under Government as well as regular employees of the Local Bodies (Excluding Multi Tasking Staff /Class IV/Group D employees), all superannuated/retired pensioners whose monthly pension is Rs.10,000/-or more (Excluding Multi Tasking Staff / Class IV/Group D employees) of above category v) All Persons who paid Income Tax in last assessment year vi) Professionals like Doctors, Engineers, Lawyers, Chartered Accountants, and Architects registered with Professional bodies and carrying out profession by undertaking practices.

KYC registration process
KYC is mandatory for all PM KISAN registered farmers. It can be done by clicking eKYC option in ‘Farmer Corner’ of PM Kisan website for Aadhar based OTP authentication. For biometric authentication, registered beneficiaries should contact nearest CSC centres.
How to check PM Kisan 10th instalment status on PM Kisan website
Visit the PM Kisan Samman Nidhi website at pmkisan.gov.in.
Click on the ‘Beneficiary Status’ tab on the right hand side on home page.
Select either of the options – Aadhaar number, Account number, or Mobile number.
After choosing the selected option, click on ‘Get Data’.
