New Delhi: Indian Air Force organizes seminar on Indigenisation Requirements of IAF opportunities for MSMEs

Indian Air Force today organised a seminar on Indigenisation Requirements of IAF – Opportunities for MSMEs in New Delhi.

Addressing the gathering on the occasion, Air Marshal Vibhas Pande who is Air Officer-in-Charge Maintenance said that the Indian Air Force is committed to realizing the Aatmanirbhar Bharat dream. He said, Indian Air Force has identified certain areas including aircraft tyres and batteries in which it wants to be totally self-reliant. He said, the force will not import any of these types of equipment from abroad. He said, the Air Force is also ready to harness any kind of technology with the aim to succeed in the mission of Aatmanirbhar Bharat.

Addressing the event virtually, Joint Secretary in the Department of Defence Production Chandraker Bharti said that around 12 thousand Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises – MSMEs  Units are engaged in defence ecosystem including production of equipment and sub-systems of various platforms. He said, the government has also set a target of achieving defence exports of 35 thousand crore rupees by the year 2025.
