National Security Council Secretariat formulates draft National Cyber Security Strategy-2021
The National Security Council Secretariat has formulated a draft National Cyber Security Strategy-2021 which holistically looks at addressing the issues of security of national cyberspace.
This was stated by the Minister of State for Electronics and Information Technology Rajeev Chandrasekhar in a written reply in the Rajya Sabha today. He said, the government is committed to ensure that the Internet in India is open, safe, trusted and accountable for all users. He added, the government is fully cognizant and aware of various cyber security threats.
Replying to another query, Mr. Chandrasekhar said, over two lakh 98 thousand cyber security incidents related to government organizations have been reported by the Computer Emergency Response Team during the period of 2016-2021.
