Nation remembers Shyama Prasad Mookerjee on his 121st Birth Anniversary; V.Prez, PM, and several other leaders pay tribute
Vice President M Venkaiah Naidu has paid tributes to Dr Syama Prasad Mookerjee on his birth anniversary. In a tweet, Mr Naidu said, Dr. Mookerjee was an eminent statesman, visionary thinker, renowned educationist, and passionate nationalist. He said, every Indian should draw inspiration from his invaluable contribution to national integration and development.
Meanwhile, Prime Minister Narendra Modi also paid tributes to founder of Bharatiya Jana Sangh Dr. Syama Prasad Mookerjee on his birth anniversary. In a tweet, Mr Modi said, he is widely respected for his contribution to India’s development particularly in sectors such as commerce and industry. Prime Minister said, Dr. Mookerjee was also known for his scholarly nature and intellectual prowess.
BJP President J. P. Nadda also said that Dr Mookerjee was a renowned educationist and thinker. Mr Nadda said, he was unhappy with Article 370 and launched a Satyagraha in 1952 for full integration of Jammu and Kashmir with the rest of India.
