Nation remembers Atal Bihari Vajpayee on his death anniversary

President Droupadi Murmu led the nation in paying homage to Bharat Ratna and former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee on his fourth death anniversary today. Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar, Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, Home Minister Amit Shah, former President Ram Nath Kovind, BJP President J P Nadda and other senior leaders visited Atal Bihari Vajpayee’s memorial, Sadaiv Atal, in the national capital this morning and paid their floral tributes.

Minister of State for Information and Broadcasting Dr. L. Murugan said Vajpayee ji was a remarkable orator, scholar and poet capable of moving the masses with a single speech. He said, India’s rapid economic growth and global integration is a result of Vajpaye’s  visionary leadership and futuristic policies. Atal Bihari Vajpayee passed away on this day in 2018. Born on 25th December 1924 in Gwalior, Vajpayee’s contribution towards public life and India’s development will always be cherished.
