MoS for External Affairs Meenakashi Lekhi to pay official visit to Uzbekistan & Switzerland from today.
Minister of State for External Affairs, Meenakashi Lekhi will pay an official visit to Uzbekistan and Switzerland from today. In a statement, External Affairs Ministry said, during her visit to Uzbekistan from 23rd to 26 September, Ms Lekhi will meet Foreign Minister of Uzbekistan Mr. Abdulaziz Kamilov and Minister of Culture Mr. Ozodbek Nazarbekov. She will be delivering a lecture on India’s democratic traditions at the prestigious Tashkent State University of Law. The Minister will also address the students of Bukhara State University as part of the Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav celebrations.
During her visit to Switzerland from 27th to 30th September, Meenakashi Lekhi will hold discussions with Dr. Ignazio Cassis, Federal Councillor, Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Mr. Alain Berset, Federal Councillor, Ministry of Home Affairs and Culture. She will also interact with Indo-Swiss community and will meet with the members of international community in Geneva.
