Mansukh Mandaviya launches research portal of National Institute of Pharmaceutical Education and Research
Chemicals and Fertilizers Minister Dr Mansukh Mandaviya launched the research portal of National Institute of Pharmaceutical Education and Research, NIPER, in New Delhi on Friday.
This portal aims at disseminating information of research activities, patents and publications of all NIPERs at one place. Speaking on the occasion, Dr Mandaviya said, healthy competition between Industry and Academia is very important and Research and Innovation are a necessity for the sustained growth of the pharmaceuticals sector.
The Minister stated that the country already has young talent and human resources, but this pool needs to be channelised effectively through Industry-Academia cooperation. He said, to enhance this industry-Academia collaboration, the Department of Pharmaceuticals has created this Research Portal to capture the research activities of all seven NIPERs.
Minister of State for Chemicals and Fertilizers Bhagwanth Khuba and Niti Aayog member, Health, Dr V. K Paul were also present on the occasion.
