J-K Panthers Party Founder Prof Bhim Singh passes away at 80
National Panthers Party supremo Professor Bhim Singh passed away on Tuesday at Bakshi Nagar Hospital in Jammu.
Bhim Singh was ailing for a few months. He was 80 years old.
Prof Bhim Singh was born in August 1941 in the Ramnagar area of ??Jammu.
He founded the Panthers Party on 23 March 1982 along with his wife Jai Mala and other associates.
He was the party president for 30 years till 2012. After this he gave this place to his nephew Harsh Dev Singh.
He once again returned to active leadership last year when he was elected the president of the Panthers Party.
Many political leaders in Kashmir condoled Singh’s demise in a Twitter post.
BJP leader Devender Singh Rana in a tweet said, “In the sad demise of Prof Bhim Singh ji J&K has lost a prominent political figure who always raised the voice of the people of J&K in all foras . A firebrand leader who came from a remote village in Ramnagar evolved himself with global exposure and understanding.”
People’s Conference (PC) chairman, Sajad Gani Lone in a tweet said that Singh was his father’s colleague and friend.
