In IPL Cricket, Kolkata Knight Riders beat Royal Challengers Bangalore by four wickets in the Eliminator match at Sharjah last night, to reach the qualifier 2.

Opting to bat first, Bangalore posted a total of 138 for the loss of seven wickets in the stipulated 20 overs with help of Captain Virat Kohli’s 39 off 33 balls. For Kolkata, Sunil Narine picked up four wickets while Lockie Ferguson took two.
 
In reply, Kolkata chased down the victory target after losing six wickets in the 19.4 overs with the help of Shubman Gill’s 29 runs and Venkatesh Iyer’s 26. Sunil Narine too contributed 26 runs and was declared man of the match for his all-round performance. For Bangalore, Mohammed Siraj, Harshal Patel and Yuzvendra Chahal scalped two wickets apiece.
 
Kolkata will now face Delhi Capitals in the second qualifier tomorrow at Sharjah. Its winners will play the final against Chennai Super Kings on Friday at Dubai.
