India’s road infrastructure will be equivalent to America’s by end of 2024: Nitin Gadkari
Road Transport and Highways Minister Nitin Gadkari has said that India’s road infrastructure will be equivalent to America’s by the end of 2024. He said, his ministry is working in this direction. Speaking at an event on Realizing India’s Socio-Economic Vision through Infrastructure Investments organized by ASSOCHAM in New Delhi, he said that the work under the public and private partnerships is more productive.
Stressing on making India self-reliant, Mr. Gadkari said that the country’s focus should be equally on Make in India and Made by India. He said that self-reliant India will be possible when Export ratio is increased and imports decreased. Interacting with construction industrialist, Mr. Gadkari said, they need to find out other options so that construction cost could be reduced without compromise with quality. He said, cost cutting is possible with the utilization of innovation and technology. The Minister urged for focus on innovation. He said, government will provide all possible support to industry.
