India’s COVID vaccination coverage crosses 190.48 crore mark
India’s COVID vaccination coverage has crossed 190 crore 48 lakh mark. More than 12 lakh seven thousand vaccine doses were administered yesterday. Union Health and Family Welfare Ministry said, over four crore eight lakh vaccine doses have been administered to 12 to 14 years age group so far. Over two crore 98 lakh precaution doses have been administered to the identified categories of beneficiaries including Health Care Workers, Front Line Workers, and people above 18 years of age.
Meanwhile, Union Health Minister Dr Mansukh Mandaviya has said that over 3 crore youngsters between 12 to 14 years of age group have received the first dose of Covid -19 vaccine. He congratulated all those children who got vaccinated. In a tweet, Dr Mandaviya said that children are making a significant contribution to the vaccination drive and are fighting the pandemic with full vigour.
