India to work with G-20 members to address debt, economic growth, food and energy security & environment issues: EAM S Jaishankar

External Affairs Minister Dr S Jaishankar has said India will work with G-20 members to address serious issues of debt, economic growth, food and energy security and environment.

Dr Jaishankar said this while addressing the 77th session of UN General Assembly in New York last night.

India will assume the Presidency of the G20 for one year from 1st December this year to 30th November next year.

The G20, is an intergovernmental forum of the world’s major developed and developing economies.

Dr Jaishankar said, the reform of governance of multilateral financial institutions will continue to be one of its core priorities.
