| India has registered tremendous growth in merchandise and service export in the last financial year. A total of 676 billion dollar worth of exports were made in the last financial year. This was stated by Minister of State for Commerce and Industry Anupriya Patel in the Rajya Sabha while replying to supplementaries during the Question Hour. She said, country’s export performance is getting better. She said, 422 billion dollar worth of merchandise and 254 billion dollar worth of service export were made during the financial year 2021-22. She said the government is making efforts to create district promotion hubs to boost unique products. On the increasing trade deficit, Ms Patel expressed hope that it will come down in the future as the country’s export is increasing. |
