Information and Broadcasting Minister Anurag Thakur today hit out at the Opposition including Aam Aadmi Party for misleading the youth by telling lies over the recently launched Agnipath Scheme.
Talking to reporters in New Delhi Mr Thakur accused the Aam Aadmi Party of questioning Army rules and Agniveer scheme for its political gains. He said, there is no change in rules and recruitment process in Army and it is being done as per Army Rules 1954 and Defence Service Regulation 1987. Mr Thakur said, lakhs of youth have applied to become Agniveer under the scheme which shows that opposition propaganda specially AAP lies has come to fore in the country.
