Home Minister Amit Shah holds high-level meeting to review security preparedness for Amarnath Yatra

Home Minister Amit Shah today held a high-level meeting to review the security preparedness of the Amarnath Yatra. The annual pilgrimage is set to start on June 30 after a gap of two years. The Yatra will begin on June 30 and conclude on August 11.

Jammu and Kashmir Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha, NSA Ajit Doval, police chief Dilbag Singh along with other senior officials participated in the meeting.

Top officials of the Intelligence Bureau, Border Security Force, Central Reserve Police Force, Indo-Tibetan Border Police and the Sashtra Seema Bal also attended the meet.

The meeting was held days after Home Secretary Ajay Kumar Bhalla convened a similar meeting to review the security preparedness of the annual pilgrimage
