First and foremost challenge that Air Force is facing to keep pace with technology: Air Chief Marshal VR Chaudhari

Air Chief Marshal VR Chaudhari today said the first and foremost challenge that Air Force is facing is that of keeping pace with technology. Speaking at the 13th Jumbo Majumdar International conference in New Delhi, Air Chief Marshal said the training philosophy will need to be modern, flexible, and adaptive. He said, the next challenge will be command and control; another will be aerospace control.  He said, China’s latest demonstration of physically moving one of its disabled satellites into the graveyard orbit is bringing new threats in the west to recognize the space domain.

Air Chief Marshal said, a proliferation of drones and miniature aerial vehicles will pose a significant challenge for conventional air space control. He also advocated that there is a need to develop joint command and control structures for integrated and synergized application of combat power
