Ex-V.P Venkaiah Naidu releases book on PM Modi speeches at Akashvani Bhawan in New Delhi
A collection of selected speeches of Prime Minister Narendra Modi was released today at Akashvani Bhawan in New Delhi. The book titled ‘Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas, Sabka Vishwas-Prime Minister Narendra Modi Speaks’ portrays the Prime Minister’s vision of a new India. The book was released by former Vice President M. Venkaiah Naidu, Governor of Kerala Arif Mohammed Khan, and Information and Broadcasting Minister Anurag Thakur.
On this occasion, former Vice President M Venkaiah Naidu said, the book, Sabka Sath Sabka Vikas, Sabka Vishwas – Prime Minister Narendra Modi Speaks ( May 2019 – May 2020) reflects the ideas, determination, and decisiveness of Modi’s government. He said, reform, perform and good governance are the mantra of this government which have transformed the lives of people. He lauded the Prime Minister’s leadership during the Covid-19 pandemic saying that the required capacities were built in a short time. He said, the country developed indigenous vaccines, administered more than 200 crore vaccine doses and foodgrains were provided to 80 crore people to effectively deal with the crisis.
Shri Naidu recalled the time the vision of opening crores of bank accounts appeared unattainable, but under the able leadership of PM Modi, the target was achieved very quickly. Counting Direct Benefit Transfer as the biggest achievement of the Government, Shri Naidu said it freed people from the shackles of middlemen, ensuring endpoint delivery of welfare measures.
Information and Broadcasting Minister Anurag Thakur said, under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, India has become the 5th largest economy in the world. He said, the book highlights the Prime Minister’s vision for various topics including economy, preservation of culture, clean and green India, Science and Technology, and sports. He said, this book provides a unique opportunity to historians, intellectuals, and people to get a glimpse of steps taken by the government. He asked the opposition to read this book as they will get the answers to their questions.
Speaking on this occasion, Kerala Governor Arif Mohammad Khan said, concerns towards women and marginalized class have been reflected in the book. He said, Prime Minister Narendra Modi took a historic step to end Triple Talaq. He said, the importance of this step will be observed in the future.
Secretary of the Information and Broadcasting Ministry Apurva Chandra, CEO Prasar Bharati Mayank Agrawal, Director General of All India Radio News Dr. Vasudha Gupta, Director General of Publication Divison Monideepa Mukherjee and other senior officials of the Ministry were present at the event.
‘Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas, Sabka Vishwas-Prime Minister Narendra Modi Speaks’ book, reflects the hope and aspirations of people for New India which will be achieved through Jan Bhagidari. The New India will be self-reliant, resilient and capable of turning challenges into opportunities. The book is a collection of 86 speeches of the Prime Minister delivered by him from May 2019 to May 2020. The speeches have been divided into ten thematic areas. It focuses on Aatmanirbhar Bharat-Economy, People-First Governance, Fight Against COVID-19, Emerging India-Foreign Affairs, Jai Kisan, Tech India-New India, Green India-Resilient India-Clean India, Fit India-Efficient India, Eternal India-Modern India-Cultural Heritage and ‘Mann Ki Baat’.
The book will be available in Hindi and English. It will be available at the sales outlets of Publications Division across the country and the Book Gallery at Soochna Bhawan in New Delhi.
