Encounter : Two terrorists killed in separate encounters with security forces in J&K
In the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir, a gunfight broke out on Friday night between terrorists and security forces at Drangbal area in Pampore town of south Kashmir’s Pulwama district.
Inspector General of Police of Kashmir Zone Vijay Kumar said that a Lashkar-e-Toiba (LeT) Commander namely Umar Mustaq Khandey involved in the killing of two police personnel at Baghaat in Srinagar & in other terror crimes had been trapped in the encounter which was still underway when the reports last came in.
Earlier, two terrorists were neutralized by security forces yesterday in two separate encounters at Wahibugh area in Pulwama district and in Bemina area of Srinagar city. The slain terrorist killed in Pulwama encounter was involved in the killing of a civilian on 2nd of this month while the terrorist neutralised in Bemina was involved in the killing of an Assistant Sub Inspector (ASI) of J&K Police.
Police said that the slain terrorists killed in two different anti-terrorist operations were also the collaborators in the recent civilian killings of one chemist and two teachers in Srinagar.
