EAM S Jaishankar holds meetings with Ministers from Europe, Asia on sidelines of Munich Security Conference in Germany
External Affairs Minister Dr S Jaishankar held a series of one-to-one meetings with Ministers from Europe, Asia and other parts of the world on the sidelines of the Munich Security Conference in Germany on Saturday. AIR correspondent reports, The External Affairs Minister held meetings with Foreign Ministers of Romania, Mongolia and Sweden and other delegates who are attending the conference.
During a bilateral meeting with his Romanian counterpart Bogdan Aurescu, Dr Jaishankar held discussions on issues of mobility, cyber, space, defense, disaster resilience and health. With Swedish Foreign Minister Ann Linde, the External Affairs Minister noted the progress in their bilateral cooperation and discussed respective national security challenges.
Dr Jaishankar and his Mongolian counterpart Battsetseg Batmunkh discussed cooperation in various issues including energy, IT, and coal sectors.
The External Affairs Minister also met with members of the European Parliament and held discussions on transparency, reliable supply chains and the world order.
He reiterated commitment for stronger India-EU cooperation. Earlier in a meeting with Singapore Defense Minister Ng Eng Hen, Dr Jaishankar discussed bilateral and ASEAN-related defence cooperation.
