External Affairs Minister Dr S Jaishankar on Monday spoke to Foreign Minister of Hungary Péter Szijjártó. Both leaders discussed bilateral cooperation in trade, investment, education, mobility and health. Dr Jaishankar expressed confidence that the positive momentum of 2021 will grow further in 2022. In a tweet, the External Affairs Minister said, he is looking forward to welcome his Hungarian counterpart in India soon.
Dr Jaishankar also spoke to High Representative of the European Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy and Vice-President of European Commission Josep Borrell Fontelles. Both leaders reviewed trade and investment, connectivity, climate action and strategic facets of India-European Union cooperation. They also discussed global hotspots, especially Afghanistan and Myanmar.
