Defence Minister Rajanth Singh instructs IAF to mount rescue & relief operations in Uttarakhand to help trapped mountaineers

Defence Minister Rajanth Singh has instructed the Indian Air Force to mount rescue and relief operations in Uttarakhand to help the mountaineers who are still trapped.

Mr. Singh spoke to Chief Minister Pushkar Dhami and took stock of the situation. The Minister expressed anguish over the loss of lives due to the landslide which has struck the mountaineering expedition carried out by the Nehru Mountaineering Institute in Uttarkashi. He prayed for everyone’s safety and well-being.
