Health and Family Welfare Minister Dr. Mansukh Mandaviya said that the COVID-19 situation showed the strength of the country’s healthcare system. The minister said, India not only successfully managed COVID-19 but also supported other countries by providing them medicines and vaccines under the Vaccine Maitri initiative.
Inaugurating the States and Union Territories Leadership Meeting of the Indian Red Cross Society today, Mr. Mandaviya, appreciated the society for its commendable work. He said, the motto of the Indian Red Cross Society, to help and aid humanity in times of need and emergencies, is very much like Indian tradition and the legacy of Sewa and Sahyog.
