Congress leader Adhir Ranjan Chaudhury urges Govt to reduce petrol, LPG prices
Leader of the Congress in Lok Sabha, Adhir Ranjan Chaudhury today urged the Government to reduce the prices of petrol and cooking gas. Raising the issue during the Zero hour, Mr Chaudhury said that the common man has been hit badly due to the increase in prices of essential commodities.
Asit Kumar Mal, MP from West Bengal brought the attention of the Government on the deplorable condition of beedi workers in Bolpur and urged the Government to provide basic facilities to them and improve their living conditions. Virendra Singh, BJP from Uttar Pradesh said that the Government should introduce agriculture policy for the benefit of the farmers in the Country.
M.Selvaraj, MP from Tamilnadu urged the Government to protect the interest of the handloom weavers as many of them were badly hit during the pandemic and were not getting any work from the master weavers. Gaurav Gogoi, MP from Assam urged the Centre to provide employment to the youth of the State as there has been attempts by the ULFA to entice the youth.
Hussain Masood,MP from Jammu and Kashmir said that the Government should take steps to provide online education to the students suffering from disability and demanded a separate policy for the severely disabled in the State.
K.Raghu Ramakrishna, MP from Andhra sought the Prime Minister’s attention on the rights of MPs taking up the grievances of people in the State. He referred to a particular case and said that sedition cases were filed against him by the State Government for taking up grievances. He said that Prime Minister should take steps to protect the rights of the Members of the Parliament.
Ram Shiromani Verma, another MP from Uttar Pradesh brought the attention of the Government that it should provide financial assistance to kidney patients within 10 to 15 days of application so that the help is timely.
