BJP Chief JP Nadda said the central government has taken a host of farmer-centric initiatives to empower farmers of the country. Mr. Nadda was addressing farmers of BJP Kisan Morcha after flagging off e-bikes at the BJP’s Kisan Morcha event near Gandhinagar on Tuesday morning. Mr. Nadda said the E-Bikes will travel to more than 14,000 villages covering all the assembly constituencies of the state and spread awareness about farmer-centric initiatives of the government.
Mr. Nadda added that under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the country’s agriculture budget has been increased by almost six times. He further said around 1 lakh 36 thousand crore rupees have been deposited in the bank accounts of 11 crore farmers under Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana.
Mr. Nadda who is on a two-day visit to Gujarat will address a gathering of BJP’s elected representatives in urban, panchayat, and cooperative bodies. Mr. Nadda will hold a road show in the neighboring Morbi town in the evening. He will attend the ‘Viranjali’ event in Gandhinagar this evening, where artists will pay tributes to national heroes through their songs and plays.
