Budget Session of Parliament resumes today; RS Chairman urges members to sustain positive spirit of first part of session in this part as well

The second part of the Budget Session of the Parliament has resumed today. Both the Houses have returned to their normal sittings in view of decline in COVID-19 cases. On the first day of the second part of the Budget Session, the Rajya Sabha Chairman M Venkaiah Naidu urged the members to sustain the positive spirit of the first part of the session in this part as well. He highlighted that the first part of the session had witnessed no forced adjournment and the productivity of the Upper House was over a hundred percent.

In his remarks, Mr. Naidu also talked about the inadequate attendance of members in the meetings of the Parliamentary Standing Committee and said attending the meeting should be given priority by the members. Earlier, the House made obituary references to the passing away of four former members including Industrialist Rahul Bajaj.
