Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav: HM Amit Shah addresses two-day conference ‘Amrit Samagam’ in New Delhi

Home Minister Amit Shah has said that the new generation should become aware of the freedom struggle and heroes of freedom movement should be revered. Addressing a two-day conference  ‘Amrit Samagam’ in New Delhi today, Mr Shah said, ‘Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav’ is aimed at inculcating a sense of patriotism in the new generation. He said, if the people take small resolutions, then the country can become more powerful.

The Minister said, in the last one year more than 25 thousand programmes were organised by the Central Government under ‘Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav’, while State and Union Territories have organised only seven thousand two hundred programmes. He said, Centre and State Governments should work together to celebrate ‘Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav’.
