Ayush Minister Sarbananda Sonowal visits National Institute of Homoeopathy, Narela

The government has undertaken various steps to encourage Research and Development, innovation, and to develop apex level institutes for education and research in Homoeopathy. Minister of Ayush Sarbananda Sonowal stated this while visiting the National Institute of Homoeopathy (NIH) at Narela, in New Delhi on Friday.

He said, National Policy on Health envisages inter-alia mainstreaming of Ayush in healthcare and also to integrate these systems in education and research in all tiers of healthcare delivery.

AIR Correspondent reports that this institute in New Delhi is a satellite institute of the National Institute of Homoeopathy, Kolkata and will be the first of its kind to be established in northern India. NIH, Narela is being constructed at the cost of 287 crore rupees and will also function as an international collaboration center for global promotion and research in the Homoeopathy system.

Minister of State for Ayush Dr. Munjapara Mahendrabhai Kalubhai, Member of Parliament from Delhi Hansraj Hans and other dignitaries were also present during the occasion.
