In Jammu and Kashmir, the annual Shri Amarnath Ji Yatra will commence on the 30th of this month. Elaborate security and other necessary arrangements have been finalised for the smooth conduct of the yatra this year.
Commissioner Secretary (Floriculture) Sheikh Fayaz and Secretary (Tourism) Sarmad Hafeez today visited Sonamarg in the Ganderbal district and reviewed the arrangements put in place by the Government Departments and service providers for the smooth conduct of the forthcoming Shri Amarnathji Yatra scheduled to commence from Thursday.
Appreciating the gesture of the service providers, the two Secretaries said, this is ingrained in the ethos of the local people who have been welcoming tourists and Yatris with open arms for a long.
