Cooperation Minister Amit Shah has said that cooperatives can make important contribution for the development of the country. Addressing the first mega conference of cooperatives in New Delhi today, Mr Shah said, the Ministry of Cooperation has been formed to strengthen and modernize cooperatives sector and make them more transparent. He said, cooperative movement is more relevant today.
Outlining the government’s vision and roadmap for the development of the Cooperative sector, Mr Shah said, government will soon bring new cooperative policy. He said, Prime Minister Narendra Modi has created the Cooperative Ministry with an objective to bring development in rural areas.
