Selection process for the recruitment of Agniveers will be transparent, fair and objective: Govt

The government has stressed that selection process for the recruitment of Agniveers under the newly launched Agnipath Scheme will be transparent, fair and objective. Registration process for recruitment of first batch in India Air Force will start from 24th of this month. Army and Navy will start the registration process from 1st of next month. 

 Briefing media in New Delhi today, Lieutenant General and Additional Secretary in Department of Military Affairs Anil Puri said, no change will be made in the recruitment process and regimentation will remain unchanged. He said, Agnipath Scheme lay emphasis on youthful profile of the armed forces, recruitment of tech-savvy and adaptable people and making individuals future-ready. He said, Agniveers will be eligible for gallantry awards. He said, a helpline number 23013865 has been started to help the candidates.

Air Marshal Suraj Kumar Jha said that there is no change in the process of induction, entry-level qualification and examination syllabus. He said, all enrollments in Air Force will take place only through Agniveer Vayu. He said, online exam will be conducted on 250 centres across the country from 24th July to 31st July 2022. He said the recruitment process will be completed by the end of this year. He said, two helpline number 011-25699606 and 011-25694209 have been started to help the aspirants. He said, the Indian Air Force will do everything that is required to keep us combat-worthy and combat-ready.

Vice Admiral Dinesh K Tripathi said that Indian Navy will publish the recruitment calender for Agniveers tomorrow.He said, the first batch of Agniveer will start their training on INS Chilka from 21st November  of this year.
