Uttarakhand elections 2022: Over 1 lakh BJP workers to go door to door to achieve party’s ‘Mission 60 plus’

As part of the Bharatiya Janata Party’s campaign strategy in poll-bound Uttarakhand, over one lakh party workers have been assigned to visit every home and talk about the development work the state government has been doing. For the upcoming Assembly Elections, the BJP has set a target of winning at least 60 seats.

In an effort to mobilise voters through the ‘Har Ghar BJP, Ghar Ghar BJP’ campaign, party workers are knocking on every door in more than 11,000 polling booths across the state.

As stated by a leader of the party, the workers are going door-to-door in groups to explain state government projects and hand out literature about them.

“The BJP workers also paste a party sticker outside the house they visit. Our workers also put party flags with the consent of the house owner. A wall writing campaign listing our government works is also going on across the state,” he said.

According to another party leader, the BJP needs to reach out to people across the state in order to achieve ‘mission 60+’ in the forthcoming Assembly.

“BJP workers, including Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami, MPs, MLAs, are working on the ground to ensure the formation of its government for the second term in Uttarakhand. The workers are meeting people living in remote areas also,” said BJP leader from Jageshwar Assembly constituency Gaurav Pandey.

The Assembly Elections in Uttarakhand will be held in February-March next year, along with those in Uttar Pradesh, Punjab, Manipur and Goa. To prepare for the polls, the BJP has launched several campaigns to strengthen its organisation structure at the ground level, such as forming a 21-member committee for each polling booth.

Uttarakhand BJP vice president Devendra Bhasin told IANS that all booths have been formed and verified.
