In Jammu & Kashmir, Union Information & Broadcasting Minister Anurag Singh Thakur who is on a two-day visit to the Union Territory, today inspected the prestigious 13.5 km long Zojila Tunnel on the Srinagar-Leh National Higway. During the inspection, the Minister conducted the Second Blasting of the Tunnel which will be completed at the cost of Rs.4,500 crores. The Tunnel will help keep the Union Territory of Ladakh connected for the whole year with the rest of the country. The tunnel will also boost the Tourism Sector of both the UTs and keep the hassle free movement of the armed forces during any weather conditions.
