200 different events and meetings to organise across all states and UTs of the country, says Sherpa of G20 Amitabh Kant
In an exclusive talk with AIR NEWS, Sherpa of G20 Amitabh Kant said that Under India’s presidency in G20, the major challenge would be on accelerating the pace of inclusive and sustainable growth. He also pointed out the challenge of ensuring an adequate amount of climate financing to address the environmental issues.
Mr. Kant said that India has been vocal that development agenda has to be inclusive, sustainable, and equitable. He emphasized that development needs to be supported by all countries and would require an adequate amount of financing for achieving SDGs.
He further added that India’s accelerated pace of digital transformation needs to be shown to the world. He said India has demonstrated to the world that using digitalization to leapfrog.
Mr. Kant stressed that India will ensure the implementation of SDGs in our presidency.
On lifestyle for environment, Mr. Amitabh Kant asked that India truly favours and stands with lifestyle for environment and life will be a very critical agenda in India’s presidency.
Mr. Kant on the preparations of the G20 Summit 2023 stated that there will be 200 different events and meetings organised across all states and UTs of the country and he added, it will be an opportunity to work effectively in partnership.
